Kathy Schofield is a Licensed Principal Broker in the Northern Virginia area with a Master’s degree in Business and Finance. She is a Certified Relocation Professional (CRP®), a designation held by fewer than 1% of real estate professionals nationwide. With over 35 years of real estate experience and more than 20 years in relocation services, Kathy is a recognized leader in both residential and corporate real estate.
Kathy’s journey began in a family where real estate was more than a profession—it was a legacy. Her immigrant mother, one of the early female brokers in the industry, required all five of her children to earn a real estate license before they could get a driver’s license. That spirit of service and accountability lives on in Summit’s guiding philosophy: Family Serving Families.
She began her professional journey abroad, serving as a Housing Officer for the Government in Europe. After five years overseas, she returned to Northern Virginia, bringing her global perspective and service mindset to residential real estate. Her relentless dedication, industry knowledge, and client-first approach quickly set her apart.
As President of Summit Relocation Services, Inc., Kathy has managed over 2,000 successful relocations for Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 clients including Columbia Energy, NiSource, HGSI, Hydro Aluminum, and Human Genome. Her past roles include Relocation Manager for MCI and Personal Move Manager for PHH, HFS, and Cendant (now Cartus).
Kathy’s professional success has allowed her to fulfill one of her greatest personal dreams—in addition to raising her son, she adopted three children who are all now the heart of her life. Her dedication to family and social responsibility is woven into the culture of Summit Realtors.
